Potted plants, bare-root plants, bulbs, and other live plant material are available for pickup or, by arrangement, local delivery. We are unable to ship these products by mail or courier.
Seed packets, seed blends, and bulk seed can be shipped to addresses within British Columbia. We do not ship seed outside of British Columbia.
We ship seed year-round, although much of our new seed crop becomes available in late summer and early fall following harvest and cleaning.

These are preparation times and do not include time in transit. Shipping options, rates, and estimated transit times are determined by the available shipping service and may change.
Some smaller seed orders may be eligible for lower-cost untracked letter mail. Untracked letter mail does not include tracking or delivery confirmation.
Tracked shipping is also available and may be required for larger-value orders.
If an order is damaged or appears to be lost in transit, please contact us at info@satinflower.ca. Please see our Return Policy for information about lost, damaged, or incorrectly fulfilled seed orders.
Local delivery may be available by arrangement. Delivery is charged at $0.83 per kilometre plus travel time at $100 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. Travel is calculated from the applicable Satinflower Nurseries location at 2716 Dooley Road in Saanich or 4286 Metchosin Road in Metchosin.
Please provide at least 5 business days' notice before your requested delivery date. Delivery is subject to availability and must be confirmed with us.
We do not have a packaging facility designed to accommodate all external courier requirements, but we are happy to work with customers to load plants directly into a variety of suitable vehicles.
To discuss delivery arrangements, please contact us at info@satinflower.ca.
We dream that everyone would appreciate and celebrate the unique nature of their own home place. For us, that place is southern Vancouver Island. We grow plants that are ecologically and culturally important to southern Vancouver Island and do our best to make locally appropriate plants available for local projects.
Most of our plants are well suited to southern and eastern Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and adjacent areas. If you are planning a project outside of this region, please be aware that not all of the species we grow will be native or appropriate to your area. We encourage you to consult information about the native plants and ecosystems of your own region before selecting plants or seed.
We do not ship seed outside of British Columbia. Within British Columbia, the availability of some species may also be limited depending on the destination, particularly for species with naturally restricted ranges. Species included in custom seed blends may similarly be limited to plants appropriate to the region where the seed will be used.
If you are unsure whether our plants or seed are appropriate for your area, please ask. We are happy to discuss your project and, where possible, help connect you with growers or native plant nurseries closer to your region.
